Recruitment specialist Head Resourcing has launched a new service to provide support and protection for companies that engage temporary workers.
Head Resourcing, with offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester and Leeds, supplies contract and permanent staff within the IT, digital and business change sectors to companies throughout the UK.
With the ever changing legislation and increased risks for businesses, employers need to ensure their approach to engaging temporary workers is compliant whether they are sourced directly or via a third party. External vetting and auditing will not only mitigate risk to the company, it will also ensure that companies are receiving and checking the required documentation for each temporary worker.
The new service, named Head Contractor Solutions is headed up by Emily Downing, Contract Support Manager at Head Resourcing.
Downing said: “Our team completes pre-engagement vetting and on-boarding for over 400 contractors every year. Vetting, management and the payroll of direct contractors are all vital but time intensive procedures and some businesses just don’t have the resource or time to manage them internally, and ensure full compliance.
“With the ‘Right to Work’ penalties enforced, and the notable increase in the number of documents required for each engaged contractor, we have seen a rise in businesses looking externally for the vetting, on-boarding and auditing of their temporary workforce. With our wealth of experience, we saw an opportunity to provide another level of client support.
“Having a single supplier to conduct all elements of checks, vetting and paperwork both consolidates the process and helps to mitigate risk protecting businesses from fines and possible legal implications.”
